Enriching lives through music
Making music is therapy
Our Mission
The Absolute Music Trust, is a charity founded in 2017 by Alan Barclay. We believe in the transformative power of music. Our mission is to provide access to musical experiences for everyone in the Dorset and Hampshire region, offering engaging workshops and personalised tuition to all ages and backgrounds. We are dedicated to supporting individuals and groups facing various challenges, from children with disabilities to the elderly and those dealing with mental health issues. Through our work, we strive to enrich the lives of everyone we reach, helping them and their families discover and experience the profound benefits that music can bring. We believe that music has the power to uplift, connect, and heal, and we are committed to making it accessible to all.

Grant Funded Projects
We collaborate with diverse groups and communities, including the NHS, Space, and With You, to create tailored projects and music groups. Our initiatives are client-led and designed to ensure that the benefits of music are accessible to everyone. . Join in celebrating the joy and inclusivity that music can bring!

Self Funded Programs
At our charity, collaborating with groups and individuals who can invest in our sessions allows us to secure vital funding beyond. This approach not only ensures our sustainability but also broadens our reach, enabling us to connect with a diverse array of participants. Local authorities and organizations like SWRAC utilize our services, ensuring that music opportunities are accessible to all, in places where they might otherwise be overlooked.
