Absolute Music was set up in 2003 and is now one of the biggest music superstores in the UK. As well as selling instruments, we are at the forefront of music education giving lessons both through local schools and on a one- to-one basis. With the decrease of funding of music teaching in schools, we would like to work together to offer more access to playing instruments, vocal coaching and developing production skills. We would also like to give opportunities to the anyone who may struggle to access music due to health conditions and low income. As a result of these pressures, we decided to set up our own charity focussing on enabling people of all ages and from all backgrounds to participate in music-making.  Our aim is to ‘Enrich Lives Through Music’. You too can help make a difference.

Here's a fun photo of Tom and friends performing his charity single that The AMT helped to write and record thanks to your donations and fundraising.

Tom launched his CD at St. Georges C of E Primary School Assembly (Langton Matravers).

Tom is aged 7 and a very brave cancer patient.

Message of thanks...
"...Great to meet you yesterday and thanks again for an excellent session for Coping With Chaos/Diverse Abilities.

As I think it was evident, my son Thomas had a brilliant time. He was also fascinated by and really enjoyed the whole in-store experience.

Here are my contact details. I would be very interested to hear of any future sessions you may run for children with disabilities and additional needs.

As I mentioned at the time, I would also be really keen to hear if you know of anyone who offers 1:1 private tutoring with experience of special educational needs as Thomas has a real of love of music and an interest in playing a variety of instruments and I would really like to support him with this.

If you need any supporting evidence in providing the sessions you do and the benefits for children with disabilities, I would be very happy to help.

Many thanks and looking forward to seeing you again on the 23rd as we are lucky enough to have another session with Coping with Chaos.

Jane (mum)..."
